Minister makes mistake (2)
The federal cabinet minister responsible for finding a replacement supply of medical isotopes after the shutdown of the Chalk River reactor will have to explain why secret documents about the nuclear industry were left at a national television bureau.
CTV reported last night that Natural Resources Minister Lisa Raitt or a member of her staff left a binder of sensitive material about the troubled nuclear industry with many pages marked “secret” at the network’s offices in downtown Ottawa.
The binder was left almost a week ago, the network said, but no one has called to look for it.
According to the CTV report, the document reveals much about the money that has been pumped into the Chalk River and into Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd., the Crown corporation that owns it.

Duh did CTV think to call Minister Lisa Raitt?
Marked ” SECRET”
Call in the RCMP to investigate who authorized reading and publishing “SECRET”
Government Documents with no attempt made to return the Documents to the Minister
I have been known to forget where I left papers I have always had the good fortune to have the finder of the papers call me
undoubtedly Minister Raitt did not know CTV was holding her papers or she would have picked them up Duh
I am embarrassed by our irresponsible media

Somebody at CTV should end up with their head handed to them on a platter. I doubt we’ve seen the last of this one.

I wonder if the Liberal Party were shown these secret documents by CTV. Is it coincidental that the Liberals have been focusing on Atomic Canada in Question Period all week?Even Don Newman was expecting questions about GM on Monday and was suprised when McGunity lead off Question Period on AECL.

Don’t leave your wallet at CTV. Yes – they likely will hold it until you pick it up, but the cash will very likely be missing and your card numbers and your ID pilfered!
Have the Libs copied and analysed the information in the TOP SECRET document? You have to ask????

Dave Rutherford reported today that CTV copied said documents and gave them to their lawyer. I also wondered why, out of nowhere, all the questions in QP about AECL. Who was the aide, and when did he leave those documents. And why was a binder supposedly left, but a bag of papers was returned. Where is the Binder.

This is hard to believe , how can CTV keep Gov’t Documents without calling the minister that these were left behind. Bob Fyfe should have his head chopped, as well Tom Clark for lying – he is very pro-lib. Why not report the lying, the cheating, the theft, the arrogance, the intitlements, the greed, ruby Dhala, iggy’s lies,etc.,etc. instead of pick, pick & pick on the Conservatives. This is getting very irritating and that’s the last of the CTV news for us or bloody prolib msm articles, the blogs we shall read and get real honest inf. Journalist are supposed to be professional people but most of the prolib ones are fabricators. VERY,VERY ANGRY.M

I think this is very serious. The CTV staff should have returned the documents asap. I have no way of knowing what they did with it but funneling it to the liberals seems to be right up their alley. I think it’s a police matter. and needs serious follow up.

Stephen Harper is a disgrace to support a minister who cares more for her career than cancer patients. I did not want an election, but I sure do now. I want to remove these insensitve, self serving creeps fron government right now.
