Police search for murder suspects (1)

wanted_thumbOTTAWA — The Ontario Provincial Police were searching near Arnprior on Wednesday for two murder suspects wanted in connection with the discovery of human remains in Sudbury on Tuesday.

Police have issued Canada-wide warrants for the arrest of Gregory Alexander Hepp, 17, and Kristopher Campbell Lavallée, 28 who were seen recently in Arnprior.

Investigators will not identify the victim until a forensic investigation is complete and all family members have been informed of the death.

Although Hepp would not normally be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, a judge has allowed the media to identify him until Monday.

Sgt. Kristine Rae, an OPP spokeswoman, said the pair are thought to be headed east from Sudbury on public transportation.

“Both men are known to carry weapons and we are advising the public not to approach them, but to call the OPP or their local municipal police,” Sgt. Rae said.

“We are assisting Sudbury police in their investigation. All I can say at this point is that they resided in Arnprior until recently.”
