Painkiller injection? (2)

jacksonSpeculation mounted today that Michael Jackson’s fatal heart attack might have been brought on by an injection of painkilling drugs after a rehearsal at a Los Angeles arena for the star’s comeback concerts in London.

As thousands of fans gathered outside the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where Jackson was pronounced dead yesterday afternoon, LAPD detectives searched the rented mansion in the Holmby Hills area of the city where the singer had been living.

Jackson’s death was confirmed by his brother Jermaine in an emotional press conference at the hospital. “We believe he suffered a cardiac arrest at his home, however the cause of his death is unknown until the results of the autopsy are known,” he said.

“The personal physician who was with him at the time attempted to resuscitate him.”

Paramedics were called to the Jackson home at 12.21pm local time to respond to a “50-year-old male” who was “not breathing at all”. He was rushed to the UCLA hospital but doctors were unable to revive him and his death was confirmed at 2.26pm.

Michael Jackson’s ex-publicist wasted no time in attributing his death to the massive amount of prescription drugs he was taking and accusing those close to Jackson of not having his best interests at heart.

We should all be thankful we did not become famous.  It must be lonely going through life not knowing who your friends are.

It was reported by one of his lawyers that he was not sure if MJ had a will, or named a guardian for his 3 children.  Regardless, by the time all the lawyers etc get done with the estate there wont be anything left.
Living in a rented mansion for 100,000/month must have taken a lot of his money.
Imagine all those hangers on who will now have to find a legitimate way to make a living.
The poor coroner, no matter  what he finds, some will not believe it.

I’m not very excited about this news.  Therefore I’m trying not to follow it to closely.

Michael’s death, if caused by a drug overdose, was stupid and wasteful of a gift given by a higher power.  The situation has been building for years and anyone who isn’t blind could see it coming.  There any number of “stars” who have preceeded him and many made the same stupid mistakes.

Drugs, booze and the fast life.

So I am not going to get into the mass “pity party” now going on everywhere.  I choose to remember Neda instead — a young woman who’s death (a murder actually) truly does mean something and could change the lives of millions in the days ahead.

    Not so Michael Jackson.

My thoughts are with his family today and I will add this.

“I know you tried to change him and that’s all anyone can do.”

“God Bless” and I’m moving on.

Some “star”…some hero…a man who changed nothing…and a woman who has.

Michael Jackson was an entertainer for gosh sakes! The hype and media slobbering over the death of this man is unfathomable. It seems to me that if this the defining ingredient of modern culture there is something really wrong here. He, in spite of his success, is not what I look for as a role model for our kids. Everyone, give your head a shake!

  6. Jack says:

And then sitting out back on the deck with a beer in hand a bit later and everything very quiet I began to wonder if Michael knew about Neda and I’m certain he did.  How could he not?

And that led to other thoughts.  How did he feel about that and if so did he tell anyone else?

That’s a story you know… a big one.  Maybe we’ll find out in the days to come.
