10 Mexican police held (1)

medinaMEXICO CITY, Mexico (CNN) — A federal judge ordered 10 municipal police officers arrested Saturday in connection with the slayings of 12 off-duty federal agents in southwestern Mexico, the attorney general’s office said.

The federal officers’ bodies were found Tuesday on a remote highway in Michoacan state, where at least 18 federal agents and two soldiers have been killed since July 11 due to drug-related violence.

Video from the scene showed three signs, known as narcomensajes, or narcomessages, left by the killers. They all stated the same thing: “So that you come for another. We will be waiting for you here.”

The officers arrested Saturday are on the police force in the city of Arteaga.

Im 58 and during my entire adult life, I have never heard anything good about Mexico or its police. Its a very corrupt country, and legal system there. I can even remember reading warnings in magazines to try not to wander around if you went there on vacation. to stay put at your resort. When will America quit treating this country with kid gloves? I feel for any american law person who must go inside its borders.
