An Israeli company has developed a revolutionary new drug that could solve the problem of Colony Collapse Disorder, the disturbing syndrome that has been wiping out bee communities and threatening agricultural production all over the world.
The drug, Remembee, which was developed by Beeologics, has completed successful clinical trials on millions of bees in North America. Not only has it proved effective in maintaining bee health, but it also improved the longevity of bees and increased the honey in the hives.

Another in the very, very long list of reasons why Israel should receive support and her enemies nothing whatsoever.
Pat – Agreed!
Every bottle of the vaccine should say “Made in Israel” in big letters — that way the Islamic world (and the growing number of anti-Semites in Europe) will have to swallow real hard when they use it to save its bees.
Agreed with all comments so far, I am well informed by visiting this and many other blogs, I would never have heard this on the CBC. The new news media rules. And I am proud of it.
I attended a bee colony collapse syndrome demo at the Scottish Festival in Fergus, On where a talk was given by an associate of U. of Guelph and she was relating how research is pointing to the heavy use of pesticides for removal of dandelions. The bees get up to 90 percent of their pollen from these dandelions. Why not agree to leave the little yeller buggers on your lawn towards reversing the syndrome? We have to favour the pesticide bans enmasse if we’re going to beat this serious threat to plant pollination.
