Iran knows that Israel will take unilateral and first action, as it did with Iraq's facility. Iran's words and actions amount to provocations aimed at Israel, as though it is begging for Israel to attack. Israel is a tiny prize compared to capturing all that is Saudi Arabia. The question is, what does Iran have up its sleeve that will serve to deter the US from unleashing a devastating intervention? I would not be the least surprised to learn that Iran had assets within major US cities ready to demonstrate why the US should back off. Only speculation on my part, but if it were my game of chess, those are pieces I would want in place. I might even go so far as to let the US administration know of my capabilities. The public would never find out beforehand, for a variety of legitimate reasons. And to think all this unfolds with the Office of President of the United States occupied by the most unworthy man in its history. It's a strategic home run - a Shiite trampling of Sunnis, at long last; control of the oil; control of Islam. The US is humbled, unless it wants to stumble along without oil; Israel is isolated, and lying like a stuffed quail ready to be devoured. I predict that any move made by Israel will result in a massive attack and move against the Kingdom by Iran. I would not be surprised either if Iran did not have a few surprises tucked around the US to serve as deterrents for interceding in the move against the Sauds.
