The Senate is now drafting a global-warming bill even more economically Draconian than the recent version passed in the House. Our senators need to take stock of recent global-climate outcomes before they blindly proceed down this ridiculous path.
As summer 2009 ended, a number of very significant global-climate changes occurred that are very bad news for the global warming alarmists and their efforts to use climate-fear propaganda to push for unnecessary and costly government controls of greenhouse gases.
First, the 2009 summer minimum Arctic Sea Ice Extent [Area of ocean with at least 15 percent sea ice]that was predicted by alarmists to decline, instead, grew dramatically. According to International Arctic Research Center AMSR-E satellite data, it grew by about 1 million square kilometers of ice (1.4 times the size of Texas), which is a 23 percent growth above 2007 and 11.5 percent growth above 2008 sea-ice levels, respectively.
More bad news for alarmists came when results of the Arctic Sea Ice Expedition were released. NASA characterized this expedition as a six-nation, 20-scientist Arctic expedition, equipped with an aircraft that had precision measurement instruments. Alarmists had argued that new Arctic sea-ice growth was thinner and less robust than older ice. The expedition instead found new sea ice was much thicker, up to four meters in places, which was more than twice what was expected.

The truth always comes out. These fraudsters should just come clean now and save us all a lot of money. Or do they wish to face the music latter when charges are brought on behave of the taxpayers.
I wonder how many Canadians can’t be bothered to take even a few moments to email their respective MP and politely voice their objection to the government initiating any form of carbon tax for this non-existent threat? If the government was receiving 100′s of thousands of such emails you can bet PMSH would be singing a different tune on the world stage. Once we get hit with a tax for nothing bitching about it in Tim’s will be too late.
Good point, beentheredonethat…
I like the title “alarmist” (a decent counter to the ‘denier’ title) but perhaps we should find something stronger like “panic mongers” or “f**king liars”?
I wholeheartedly agree, Mac. The alarmist’s sure like to use strong words with negative connotations against anybody that disagrees with them…. time to start beating them over head with both the FACTS and science with a healthy dose of terminology that describes them in true context. Liars, fear-mongers, and snake oil salesmen.
Follow the money
Like Mac. I think you made a very valid point, BTDT. I am not very well versed on the strong terminology that needs to be used – help! I wonder if someone well versed in the climate hoax thingie would be willing to draft a template for the rest of us to e-mail. Maybe an on-line petition would help too. “Climate change” is a constant and Heraclitus would be proud of us for noting that fact.
