Tensions remain high in Jerusalem after another day of rioting over a site that is holy to both Jews and Muslims.
Rock-throwing Palestinian youths clashed with Israeli security forces in and around the compound known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary.
Police have since flooded Jerusalem’s Old City and its surrounding area with thousands of officers to try and quell the unrest.
The latest clashes happened while 30,000 Jewish worshippers gathered at the city’s Western Wall for the high point of the religious holiday of Sukkot.
Israeli police had closed the Temple Mount compound on Sunday after fighting between Palestinians and Israelis erupted.
Authorities then restricted access for Muslims, banning men aged under 50. There were no restrictions for women.

This situation is so tedious. Therefore the reason I rarely follow it.
In case anyone has missed my point it’s “all about the money” — nothing else. As long as the west keeps pouring ”loot” into the holy land trying to solve the problem it will continue. As soon as we stop things will begin to work out.
Good point, Jack… but brace for the screaming of the weeping pro-Palestinian supporters…
