Toronto imam (1)

A Toronto-area imam is under fire for using derogatory language against Jews and Christians, calling for Allah to “destroy” the enemies of Islam from within and calling on God to “damn” the “infidels.”

The address, given last Friday by Imam Saed Rageah at the Abu Huraira Centre and then posted on YouTube (watch it above), is an attack on those who have been calling for a ban on the niqab and burka, both of which cover the faces of women.

“Allah protect us from the fitna [sedition] of these people; Allah protect us from the evil agenda of these people; Allah destroy them from within themselves, and do not allow them to raise their heads in destroying Islam.”

Tarek Fatah, a Canadian Muslim author and commentator, said that type of language could be interpreted as a call to violence. As well, the imam asks Allah to “damn” Christians and Jews.

“The cleric’s ritual prayer asking for the defeat of Christians and Jews and the victory of Islam is not unique,” Mr. Fatah said. “It is uttered by many clerics across Canada spreading hate instead of harmony.  There should be no room in Canada’s mosques for such hatred, especially when most of these institutions get [tax-free status].”

The Abu Huraira Centre attracts about 800 to 1,000 people to a typical Friday service. A man who worked at the centre said that many women who attend only wear the hijab, which covers the head, and do not wear any covering on their faces.

The National Post repeatedly attempted to reach Mr. Rageah for an interview, but was unsuccessful.

Notes:

So why is it that Christians in a Christian country tolerate this bullshit?  Could it be because of our Charter?  Could it be that Trudeau was wrong?  Could it be that Liberals approve of this?

I think so and I wonder why this imam has not been charged for hate while Christians are everyday.

Liberals — they should all be pissed on.

Unless I’m mistaken, the word “Christian” does not appear in Trudeau’s Constitution or his Charter.

We talk about hatred and truth but spend little or no time understanding what they mean.

Liberals will say “who’s truth” as if two conflicting definitions could coexist and retain meaning.

Religious fundamentalists claim that beliefs define truth, only theirs and nobody elses, and logic to the contrary is sacrilege.

Without a shared definition of truth, there can be no shared definition of anything.

But we perceive the meaning of every word in our language by its definition. The perception of  anything else is absolutely wrong. Those who are persistently wrong are lacking intelligence.

If one does not posess the intelligence to understand what defines truth they will never experience the successful conclusion of a debate. Then debate with them is a pointless waste of time.

    Hatred is denying the truth.

This is the reason for conflict.

Why blame Trudeau, who has been dead for years? Let’s be very clear, the problem is Ottawa, plain and simple, and whoever happens to govern. Chretien was the problem, then Martin and now Harper, because they have all played politics with national security. For the Harper disciples at this website, I would simply ask: “what has your leader done that is any different on this sort of issue from what his vilified predecessors did?”  The answer, once all the outrage for asking that question subsides, is absolutely nothing. Look at the substance of Harper’s approach to national security and compare with earlier governments, and you will find little to reassure you that our protection is at the top of the list of political priorities. And, it has ever been thus.

It seems to me that this type of behavior would eventually come down to a law enforcement issue, so it would make little difference at all whatever laws our politicians could come up with, because they would not be enforced. Just like has happened in Britain, Canadian police force brass would never have the stones to be at all critical of hateful minorities, let alone allow them to be charged with a crime. The same paralyzing political correctness that causes our police to stand by and watch while native Indians commit crimes in Caledonia, Ontario, and immunizes Asians from our fishing laws, would prevail. The PC-RCMP even refused to call the Muslim terrorists who have plotted violence against us, “Muslims”, instead referring to the 17 suspected Muslim terrorists arrested in Toronto as representative of a “broad strata of our society. Some are students, some are employed, some are unemployed”.

Yawn…. A fundamentalist Toronto Imam opens his yop and spouts stupidity and it’s news.  A fundamentalist Southern Baptist minister opens his yop and spouts his nonsense about god not being quick enough to visit hellfire and damnation on the godless unfaithful (and trust me, having grown up the son of Baptist parents I have heard them) and it’s not.

How many other Imams took up his call?

    In Canada?

    In Toronto?

I’m gonna guess none….. otherwise we’d be reading about them to wouldn’t we?

Instead they just order the troops to shoot, like to get them “out of the park”.  A bit more powerful of a statement, I reckon.

The same paralyzing political correctness that causes our police to stand by and watch while native Indians commit crimes in Caledonia, Ontario, and immunizes Asians from our fishing laws, would prevail.

You keep referring to “our” and “us”.  Want to define who you’re speaking about specifically?  We know now that “us” doesn’t include natives or Asians.  Please continue.

Maybe a trip to the HRC is in order for these hateful people.   I’m sure the complaint would be swiftly and thoroughly investigated and the full weight of the HRC tribunals wrath would be felt.  Just like is was felt by Mark Steyn, Ezra Levant,  and many others whose names I can’t immediately recall.

    Well I can dream can’t I?

PS, I don’t really favor that route and would like to see the HRCs  either disbanded or their powers severley restricted.     Let these loons scream and spout their hate.  Maybe then we will wake up and realize that this isn’t a religion of peace.

No doubt a relative few Christian terrorists are to be found somewhere in the world but I’ll have to withhold my judgment on any here in Canada until after they have been charged with conspiracy to commit, or have actually committed, a violent crime in the name of their religion. In the meantime, in the name of their religion, Islamic terrorists continue to kill thousands of innocent people in dozens of countries on six continents each and every year, and have been convicted of crimes here in Canada as well, so it would be foolish not to take Islamic terrorism seriously. I like to leave foolish to lefties since they excel at it.

Following a thorough inquiry into Ipperwash, the highest ranking police officer to be found at fault was acting Sergeant Ken Deane, who was convicted of criminal negligence causing death for shooting Dudley George, who he believed was carrying a rifle into a violent riot scene. Native Indians drew first blood at OKA, so I cannot blame Sergeant Deane for expecting the worst, and I do not usually consider sergeants to be brass because most work for a living.

By our laws, I mean our laws, in that they should apply to all of us equally, regardless of race and gender, but that is not currently the case. How many non-male, non-whites have been persecuted by our HRCs?

Rob Misek:  Hi Rob it’s bubble boy here.  I’m still waiting for you to respond to my last points in the drinking driving thread.  You were all over me earlier in that thread for wanting to end with an agreement to disagree.   Your last posting was that you were nearly done with me.  Aren’t you going to “man up” and prove me wrong or a least defend you position like you demanded of me?

Sorry Jack for going OT but he seemed to be ignoring the other thread.
