It was no Halloween prank when Parliament Hill’s most notorious bachelor officially took himself off the market.
In a startling reversal of roles, it was Defence Minister Peter MacKay asking the news media a big question when he proposed to a CTV news executive Saturday.
MacKay asked Jana Juginovic, director of programming at CTV News Channel, for her hand while they were in Boston, where she is on a one-year fellowship. She said yes immediately, according to sources.
The pair have been dating for several years following MacKay’s high-profile breakup with Conservative-turned-Liberal MP Belinda Stronach. That romance ended badly with her May 2005 defection.
Not long after MacKay took up with Juginovic, now 35, although the pair kept their relationship secret for many months.
When it was revealed, Liberals quietly complained about the perception of a bias in having a senior CTV executive being romantically involved with a senior Conservative cabinet minister.
The network insists it had taken steps to ensure Juginovic is not involved in coverage of MacKay.
No date has been set for the wedding, which will be the first marriage for both.

Perhaps MacKay can convince the exec to transform CTV into Canada’s right-wing network. Then perhaps our conservatives (including the PM) can watch Canadian news for a change and … you know … “conserve” for Canada.

This CON partial owned News TV media & this engagment certainly has every indication of more intense room for biased, Reporting & tainted/corrupt Reporters, looking for their piece of the $ pie-as “Appointed” Senator, Ambassador, or Global Travel TV Show.
Your Canadian Media Reporters aren’t trusted and with ample proof to understand why. CTV = CON TV.

Chelle, And I bet Jana has not broken up any marriages either. You can possibly judge her looks, but what do you know of her personality. Personally, I never thought BS was a great looker or very smart.
Some people will do anyting for a Senate seat.

Who cares what she looks like, as long a Peter & Jana are happy, so what. Same with Belinda Stronach, who cares what she looks like, everyone has different ideas of attractive.
