GOP eyes 3-state sweep of key contests

Voters on Monday prepared to cast ballots in the first major elections since President Obama took office, offering a glimpse into how they think the president and his party have handled issues such as health care and the economy.

Republicans and their conservative allies were buoyed by late polls showing they could sweep the three biggest electoral prizes of 2009: the Virginia and New Jersey governors’ mansions and New York’s 23rd Congressional District seat.

Republican Robert F. McDonnell held a comfortable lead over Democrat R. Creigh Deeds in Virginia’s gubernatorial race with polls stoking Republican hopes of securing the top three jobs in the state for the first time since 1997.

Polling showed Mr. McDonnell had made steady gains in the final weeks among those who identified themselves as Republicans and independents while substantially cutting into the Democratic advantage in Northern Virginia, which helped Mr. Obama capture the state last year and awarded the governorship to now-Sen. Mark R. Warner in 2001 and Gov. Tim Kaine in 2005.

“The streak of good elections for Democrats in Virginia ends tomorrow,” said Dean Debnam, the president of Public Policy Polling, a nonpartisan Raleigh, N.C.-based firm. “Republicans are going to sweep the statewide races, and the only real suspense is by how much.”

“On some 3,000 forms the signature doesn’t match the one on file with county clerks,” Fund adds. “Yet citing concerns that voters would be disenfranchised, Democratic Party lawyer Paul Josephson wrote New Jersey’s secretary of state asking her ‘to instruct county clerks not to deny applications on the basis of signature comparison alone.’”

Okay, let me see if I get this straight.  Credit card companies recognize a forged signature on a credit card for what it is, fraud.  But forging a signature on a ballot card in favour of a democratic candidate is not, or at least nothing to be concerned about?  So Obama’s admitted ally and supporter ACORN, the Black Panther security squads and the ideology of the campaign is how different than the facist brown shirts of the 1930′s?  If Americans had been told one year ago what would be happening in their country under Obama today, few would have ever believed it.  The heart and soul of American has rarely if ever before in history faced as grave a threat as their current government poses.    Obama has pulled out all the stops to get another democratic puppet elected in order to further his goals.   We will know today if patriotic Americans are finally awakening from the nightmare that is Obama and asking themselves “OMG what have we done?”

Republicans take top three spots in Virginia, by average in all three races 65%-32%, a real win.  O’Reily wondering how the dead vote is breaking in N.J.

Rush has a take on todays elections.  He doesn’t make predictions on the outcome, but he does predict how the media will spin the results, whatever they are.
How right he was, if one listens to cnn.

Wow!  Obama took Virginia barely a year ago.  Tonight the Democrats (translation Obama) in that state suffered a massacre rarely seen since the Little Big Horn.   Some clear advice for ‘yes we can’  Obama from the ‘no you can’t’ Virginians.  Buy yourself and your Czar buddies one-way tickets for Chicago for 2012. If these election results are any indication it seriously will be money well spent.
