As the United Nations’ Copenhagen global warming catastrophe fades from memory, its emaciated remains quietly bulldozed into the freezing blue Danske harbour, public opinion had few places to go. And so it went nowhere. In fact, according to new tri-national polls released yesterday by Angus Read, the people of Canada, the Unites States and Britain are rapidly losing confidence in the whole enterprise.
Perhaps the most stunning poll result is the general lack of any confidence or hope or belief that Copenhagen could or would ever produce a binding agreement that would force the world’s countries to reduce carbon emissions. To the question “Do you think the Copenhagen Accord will become a legally binding treaty in the future?”, only 19% of Americans, 16% of Britons and 12% of Canadians said “yes.”
Not that there was a whole lot of good feeling about Copenhagen going into last month’s assembly. Under the auspices of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Copenhagen opened with 170 nations clamouring for attention amid growing public doubts about the validity of global warming theory.

Like the Ice Age thingie in the 1970′s the AGW theory was based on junk science to serve a political agenda; that agenda being economically crippling the middle class in wealthy nations. The msm (with the notable exception of Fox News, specifically, Glenn Beck) virtually ignored the explosive scandal/ponzi scam/hoax/swindle being perpetuated against all the people in the World. The msm did absolutely nothing to inform the people of the world about this ghastly, criminal attack on our freedom and our pocketbooks.
The bloggers on the internet, Glen Beck, Sarah Palin, Lord Monckton and that brave whistleblower(s) who leaked the information are the people we, the people must thank and I do thank them from the bottom of my heart. Like many sane souls, I never bought the bunk but I was beating my head against the brick walls of consensus, my opinion was not so much science based as gut based – and then Kate, over at sda began unraveling all the claims of the bedwetters in a systematic, constant documentation of holes in the ship of fools; then I had documentation to back up my gut. It was too hysterical and the wrong people were wetting themselves; all people that I do not trust.
Now it is time for we, the people who have financed this hoax, to begin suing the liars and crooks (including the msm), who tried to force all of us to buy a beach in Saskatchewan.

My ( facetiously muddled) point is, we should indeed be pressing for something on Climatstrology too. Maybe press our MPs on 2 fronts now. We want the $40 mill and we want an investigation into how much the whole Kyoto boondoggle has cost the country since Chrétien and Mo Strong held hands in Rio in 1998 (whatever?).
Your plan makes sense to me, nomdeblog. A public ‘airing’ in the committees of the HOC would be entertaining and not too costly. A townhall type court with citizens asking questions and someone like Ezra or Tom Flannigan or Lord Monckton acting as host could work. I don’t know about you but I’d like a public spectacle and I would want the $$ returned to taxpayers via ‘cheque in the mail’ not recycled to public servants or some social program.
