Congrats. to HM PM Harper for appointing Bob Runciman as Canada's newest Senator.

Of course this has ticked off some federal liberals as Runciman has some strong views (as many Canadians do) opposing bilingualism and french language services, including support for the Alliance for the Preservation of English in Canada (APEC).

Lets hope this is a sign that the federal conservative government will bring some language fairness back to Canada.

Where is the outrage, rallies, fb page, condemnation by the media over Dalton's plan to padlock the legislature. Did he really say it is the law, in order to start a new session. Too bad he didn't know this a few weeks ago and tell his federal leader that it was necessary to get a new Speech from the Throne.
As someone posted elsewhere, we hope those protesters saved their signs to be recycled in Ontario. Or will there be nothing said about it, proving that this faux outrage was just an ndp/lib political stunt. I feel a little sorry for all those that signed that fb page thinking it was a grassroots effort. I imagine a lot of them also bought the global warming scam.
