Re: Senate poised to call for major RCMP overhaul - Of course they would portray it as “anti-mountie”, because that’s what partisan politics is all about.
LPoC has an idea – CPoC and hyper-partisan supporters hate it before the ink is dry on the page or they’ve even read or considered it because if the CPoC came up with it its’ obviously part of a socialist plot to ruin all that is good and right with Canada.

Such is the state of Canadian partisan politics; political stupidity has set in and Canadians appear to have lost the ability to think either objectively or critically.
Stageleft: ‘Canadians appear to have lost the ability to think either objectively or critically’ or have just given up on politics, probably more the latter..
If what current serving RCMP members tell me is to be believed, and I do, the RCMP does need a major overhaul. Heck, it needed one when I got out almost 8 yrs ago. It seems the more things change the more they stay the same. Too bad, there’s sure a lot of damn fine people wearing that uniform. They deserve better. Unfortunately a terribly flawed promotional system existed for decades and some of those who benefited most from the ‘Peter Principle still hold much influence.
