‘Chicago mafia’ blamed for paralysis at the top (1)

WHEN President Barack Obama’s secret service codename was revealed as Renegade and his wife Michelle’s as Renaissance, the names seemed perfect for a first couple who had come to Washington to shake things up.

More than a year into the Obama administration, with healthcare yet to be reformed, Wall Street banks continuing to pay huge bonuses and Guantanamo Bay prison still open, that mood of hope has turned to disillusion. Obama’s policy of engagement has yielded no progress in the Middle East or Iran; the war in Afghanistan continues to exact a big toll in lives and dollars; while the heaviest snow in Washington for 90 years seems to have stymied any hope of climate change legislation.

The president and his team now find themselves under fire for mishandling Congress from everyone from senior Democrats to social columnists. Critics say that by failing to move on from the “us versus them” feeling of the Obama election campaign, they have united an opposition that was in disarray. The result is legislative paralysis despite the biggest Democratic majority in 30 years.

There’s lots of blame to go around. But there’s one common denominator throughout, Barack Hussein Obama.

And the other legacy is the financial mess left by Bush Jr.

There’s no denying that Bush started the ‘fire’, but it’s Obama who’s now pouring gasoline on it.

Everyone seems to be pouring gas on the fire these days instead of finding a way to put it out.

Too much talk and not enough action while their economy continues to go down the crapper and to make things worse, it would appear that China is no longer buying their bonds as the Japanese now hold most of their I.O.U’s according to a recent report..

Re: #3 — “There’s no denying that Bush started the ‘fire’.

I’m far from certain that you are correct, BTDT.  In my view Nixon started it when he made his famous trip to China and sold out his country’s manufacturing base. The west has never been the same since.

Trust is a fine thing but not when you give everything to barbarians in the process and Nixon started the process in my view.

Point: Bush is a product of his times reinforcing the China message.  I put up a story earlier regarding “Tiger Wine”.

What if they start to sell “US Wine”?

One can only imagine because Chinese people eat anything…just like “Mikie“.

I am having very serious problems with the “Chicago Mafia” because the organization is a living thing and I have long wondered when it would invade the US White House.

No clue yet but “instinct” tells me they are close.

A great video which explains in part why Canada is still number one in american opinion polls when it comes to countries that Americans like. And the admiration is mutual.

  9. Joe says:

To lay the blame for government overspending at one person’s feet is pointless. The overspending is philosophical in nature and has been reinforced for well over a century. The differences between Owebambam and his predecessors are in scale only. However as the scale of spending increases so too does the level of corruption.

Reagan started the fire. Yes, that guy you love because he cut taxes simultaneous to getting many smelly foreigners killed. One a household level, you probably understand what happens when you cut your income (revenue) simultaneous to adopting a spending habit (expenses). For some reason we get a mental block when the scenario plays out at the national level.
