Police killer allowed out of prison (2)

Despite the protests of OPP Commissioner Julian Fantino, police killer Craig Munro has finally won unescorted passes from his British Columbia minimum-security prison.

Munro, 59, was convicted of first-degree murder for murdering Toronto police Const. Michael Sweet during a botched robbery in the early hours of March 14, 1980, at George’s Bourbon Street restaurant on Queen St. W.

On Tuesday in Agassiz, B.C., at a closed hearing, Munro was granted up to four unescorted passes a year for up to 15 days each.

Notes (for American viewers and somewhat related):

This morning I saw a quick “blurb” on Fox News that Charles Manson is on the loose having escaped from wherever he was supposed to be at the moment. Google has nothing at this point and Fox has not posted the story to their website but they may still be attempting to confirm the report so I guess we’ll have to wait for it.

No convicted murderer should ever be paroled. Frankly, i think that they should be hanged, and as quickly after their conviction as possible (e.g., the next morning!). But, as they are all being rehabilitated in the fine facilities provided by the federal government, I do not understand why a cop-killer should receive any added penalty than any of his fellow convicts.

Release everyone. After all, they are the victims of our own intolerance for their violent ways and/or our insensitivity to their need to express themselves with knives, guns or whatever.

“For the next 90 minutes, Munro ignored the pleas of Sweet about his three daughters and taunted the bleeding officer, telling him he would never see his wife or children again.”

Munro deserved nohing less than to be staked out naked covered with honey on top of an anthill. Scumbags like him always manage to find somebody or something in prison that they can claim has saved them, made them a better person. Well he forfeited his membership in the human race while Cst. Sweet lay bleeding and pleading for his life. This subhuman waste of good air is responsible for the death of two police officers not one. My fervent hope is that no johnny come lately spiritual wish list is going to help him when his real judgement day finally arrives. RIP Cst. Sweet and Sgt. Adamson, partners forever.

I am not about to give this lunatic any slack.  He killed a cop and he should be gone for good because the bottom line is that he killed all Canadian citizens (the officers were our representatives) and there should be no forgiveness if he and others  make that mistake.

    None at all.

Revoke his parole and keep him in jail for the remainder of his natural life.  Also question why anyone would forgive him.

I don’t and Canada needs to send a very strong message to those who kill our police officers.

“If you do that bend over and kiss your ass goodbye.”
