If you want another reason to vote Rob Ford for mayor in October, look at what some councillors are doing and saying — especially Dying Duck Mayor David Miller.
Incredible as it may seem to some, when an audit questioned the 2006 election spending by Councillors Adrian Heaps and Giorgio Mammoliti, council and Miller voted to pay Heaps and Mommoliti’s legal bills of $83,375 and $95,973. After all, it’s only money. Taxpayers’ money.
When an Ontario Superior Court ruled it was illegal for council to pay these legal bills (an aggregate $179,348) Miller urged council to ignore the law and follow their “conscience.”
Council voted 24-14 to appeal — more cost to taxpayers.
A splendid column by the Sun’s Sue-Ann Levy (consistently) puts the matter in perspective, and constitutes another reason why we should vote Rob Ford in as mayor.

It’s fascinating how the progressives position themselves as being sooo urbane and Ron Ford just a redneck. Then we see this not so elegant statement which is a de facto reference to a coup d’état
Quote: Coun. Howard Moscoe — now there’s a beauty — is quoted saying if Ford’s elected, “he won’t be able to pass gas.” Cute, eh? That’s Moscoe, master of repartee.
So is the progressive hero Moscoe urbane or a Bolshevik? Again , excellent coverage by the SUN., even the NP is stuck on the establishment when it comes to Silly Hall.
Their all scared of what a Ford will do on city counsel. FORD FOR MAYOR!
It appears that Moscoe is going the way of the dodo.
