Re: Flaherty worries about our ability to pay the mortgage Deficit Jim is worried about Canadian personal debt levels? He's worried about credit card use and rising interest charges affecting family budgets?
If people are
stupidfoolish enough to go into debt for Christmas that's their problem and not a federal one. There are a great many people (myself included) who saw the writing on the wall many years ago and do not go into debt for Christmas, or anything else for that matter, anymore…. I'm quite proud to be part of that group of Canadians who have $0.00 credit card debt (no credit cards) and $0.00 Christmas debt (it's called planning ahead and not going overboard).Flaherty needs look to his own house first and worry about our record level national debt, and let Canadian families deal with their personal finances themselves.
