Re#3. “Everyone knows our courts are very backlogged,” lawyer Guidy Mamann said Tuesday night. “So 1,800 number is an enormous amount. There’s no way of overstating that. It’s about time and we know there’s a lot of citizenship fraud going on. It sets a pattern on how (these people will) behave here forever.”

Here’s a solution. There sits unused in Winnipeg a once-abandoned suburban warehouse that underwent a $3.3-million transformation into a new ultra-modern never used courthouse. It was originally constructed to handle a huge gang trial that never happened. Open this court up (thus no extra burden on the regular and overloaded criminal courts). Assign a judge or two, a couple of prosecutors and focus entirely on expediting these cases. Oops, just pinched myself and woke up. Back to reality. Ho hum, yawn whatever.

Re#7. Tip to the RCMP when deciding the composition of the newly recommended body armor. Do NOT even think about forcing the members to wear this shit even if you can get it cheap because it is made out of recycled Toyotas.

RE: Electric Cars. I think it occurs to most reasonable people that if a measurable number of drivers went electric, there wouldn’t be enough power left in the grid to run your doorbell. If you have to get somewhere – on time – gasoline is the answer. Also, we are in that time of the year when there is some warmth out-of-doors. We call it a heat-wave or something, and low and behold we have a New Record as far as electricity demand! Who would have believed it!!! I wonder if the influx of new residents may have something to do with that record demand… Naw, can’t be!
