Teeny, tiny environmentalists about to be run over by a VERY big truck! (1)

A couple months ago, Jake Featheringill and his wife got robbed.

It wasn’t serious. No one was home at the time, and no one got hurt. But for Featheringill, it was just the latest in a string of bad luck.

“We made a decision,” he says. “We decided to pick up and move in about three days. Packed all our stuff up in storage. Drove 24 straight hours on I-29, and made it to Williston with no place to live.”

That’s Williston, ND. Population — until just a few years ago — 12,000. Jake was born there, but moved away when he was a kid. He hadn’t been back since.

“We came in right through the stretch of where the Badlands is,” he remembers. “And then you come into the town. So many trucks. Semi trucks and four-wheel-drive pickups — for a mile straight. You’ve never seen so many trucks in your life.”

Those trucks were in North Dakota for one reason — the same reason Featheringill had decided to move his wife and three kids to a remote section of western North Dakota.

Oil.

Notes:

Many thanks to Glenn Reynolds for this link.  It’s a dandy.

What was it Sarah said years ago?

“Drill, baby, drill?”

“To true” and any politician who makes the bad mistake of getting in the way of this boom is going to get killed in the stampede for HIGH PAYING “PRIVATE” JOBS.

“You can take it to the bank.”

“Lefties” can be so “out of it”  it boggles the mind.  One wonders whether they are all smoking “crack”.

My view: “Probably”.

    Good for them.
However, More and more this pipeline idea we have going on is beginning to look like shipping Canadian jobs to the US.
As it stands refining capability is lacking in Canada. Then there is Shell closing the refinery in Montreal and the Quebec government allowing them to remove all their refining equipement leaving a storage facility for refined product.
Just wait, give it time. Once that pipeline is pushed through the numbers will come through and Canada gets screwed again.

And on other fronts, the EU is a basket case, the American economy is in the potty and its the Canadian dollar plunging.
    Go freaken figure.

I’m far from certain I’m correct about this, Paul but “our dollar plunging” makes us more competitive in the world market. That’s “point one”.

“Point two” is that it would cost billions of dollars to restore our refining capability while more than a few already sit idle south of the 49th. It’s one of those things it would be “nice to have” but we don’t have it and right now we can’t afford it.

My view is get the US back on it’s feet this day and once everything is up and running we can take another look at the situation. “As it sits” we are doing fine just developing what we now have and I’m certain “in time” Americans will help us restore what we have lost — just as soon as they figure out they can make a few bucks on the investment.

And that will happen if I have it correct. We just have to wait for it. The “Oil Sands” is huge and “a work in progress”. The refineries will come when the time is right.

No need to go there now.

      “Patience.”

We live near North Dakota and this whole area is booming. Minot North Dakota is growing just as fast and has the airport where both Delta and United have daily flights.

I have just added a “Sarah” video everyone should watch.

“Damn, she’s smart” and she does NOT support Obama (near the end) and his ‘Alice In Wonderland’ view of the world. That says it all.

The lady is correct and it’s time for him to go. He’s done more than enough damage to the US world image and in 2012 it must stop. That is “simple common sense” which he lacks in abundance.

I say that because if he had any clue about what he was doing the very first thing he would have done is fire Ben Bernanke and “what’s his face” — Timothy Geithner — the authors of the worlds misfortune. They created this mess and he kept them on to “fix it”.

    Give me a break.

Not in ten thousand years. They are so busy covering their butts in order to stay out of jail that they will spend an entire country (not to mention a world) into oblivion rather than face the truth.

They are BOTH wrong — and so is Obama.

They all deserve to end up in the “slammer” — not that they will.
