Palin: How Congress Occupied Wall Street (2)

Mark Twain famously wrote, “There is no distinctly native American criminal class except Congress.” Peter Schweizer’s new book, “Throw Them All Out,” reveals this permanent political class in all its arrogant glory. (Full disclosure: Mr. Schweizer is employed by my political action committee as a foreign-policy adviser.)

Mr. Schweizer answers the questions so many of us have asked. I addressed this in a speech in Iowa last Labor Day weekend. How do politicians who arrive in Washington, D.C. as men and women of modest means leave as millionaires? How do they miraculously accumulate wealth at a rate faster than the rest of us? How do politicians’ stock portfolios outperform even the best hedge-fund managers’? I answered the question in that speech: Politicians derive power from the authority of their office and their access to our tax dollars, and they use that power to enrich and shield themselves.

The money-making opportunities for politicians are myriad, and Mr. Schweizer details the most lucrative methods: accepting sweetheart gifts of IPO stock from companies seeking to influence legislation, practicing insider trading with nonpublic government information, earmarking projects that benefit personal real estate holdings, and even subtly extorting campaign donations through the threat of legislation unfavorable to an industry. The list goes on and on, and it’s sickening.

Obama is a washed up president; used and abused by environmentalists, unionists and other wackos. He thought that he only has to smile daily repeat the same sing song and all problems will go away.
But, he seems cold aloof, arrogant and goes to play golf when stress gets to him. What stress? All he has to do is over ride, overrule the fanatics for the sake and security of americans by giving them the jobs that is ready to be planted. Keystone Pipeline is one, among the many jobs ready to go.

If Obama feels that the ordinary guy who desparately needs jobs are not worthy of his attention then so be it. Every american state should seriously start looking into how they are going to run their problems even it is to remove themselves and become an Independant state again.

The states that will allow the KEYSTONE PIPELINE through their state will flourish and those who went against will remain in destitute.

“Nothing is impossible” so get on with it USA and act now.

Screw the michael moores, al gores and others like them.

The entrenched establishment elite know reform is due after decades of “legalized graft.” Sarah Palin clearly lays out the steps to reforms that would clean up Congress. You’d think those members would move on them, but not a chance.

Commenters under Gov. Palin’s columns are calling on her to declare in March, but she and her family would suffer beyond the pale, just as Herman Cain now needs 24/7 security detail.

America’s in bankruptcy while these one percenters are stockpiling. It’ll do them no good at all. Scripture says a time is coming where all the gold in the world will be useless for self-sustenance. I’ll find the exact quote later, but I do think a slim majority of the elite are aware of this truism. Whether they can convince Congress members to alert themselves in time, is the question.

Sarah Palin’s certainly affording them the remedial prescriptions and probably this is as timely as it gets.

If Sarah runs or anyone else, it does now mean total self and family sacrifice. That is heartbreaking situation. It need not ever have been the agenda.

But now is the time for governments to recognize their worship of money and intellect are misplaced idols.

“The fool sayeth in his heart there is no God.” And He’s keeping tabs on the moral hazards of escalating “legal graft” against the 90 percent good Americans.

Sarah Palin is brilliant and principled. As is our own Stephen Harper and his cabinet.

Thanks, Jack for pulling it altogether here on this site while people guage the emerging threats to our democracies that are now flailing for meaning. The criminal ten percenters are the unfortunate monkey wrenches. Hopefully they will self-correct and step aside in the interests of the corrective steps that are available to turn it all around.

Reportedly, the head of the IMF stepped down of his own volition. It’s really time now for the entrenched old guard to step aside and draw from each sovereign country’s best and brightest (but unattached to any past and current political connections). Then the ownership of Congress will return to the people.
