Palin: Obama’s Anti-American Energy Policies Invite the Next Crisis (2)

It’s time our country had a real energy plan that includes a genuine all-of-the-above approach that doesn’t ignore conventional resource development.

President Obama doesn’t have an energy plan. He has an energy speech that he continues to give regardless of the facts or his obvious failures. He likes to take credit for actions initiated by the last administration (without telling you that he’s reversed or stymied many of those successes).

We should not be surprised by his detached attitude about America’s pain at the pump. He’s not interested in lowering the price of gas because exorbitantly high gas prices are one of his campaign promises. In September 2008, candidate Obama’s Energy Secretary in-waiting said : “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.” That’s one campaign promise they’re working hard to fulfill!

President Obama notes that instability in the Middle East causes short-term spikes in the price of oil. But that is precisely why we should take every opportunity to drill here and drill now to lessen our dependence on these dangerous foreign regimes. President Obama’s lack of action simply invites the next oil crisis. It’s as if the White House is purposefully making us more dependent on foreign countries – from running up an unsustainable debt that must be financed by foreign debtors, to constantly apologizing and walking on eggshells around dictators who control oil supplies.

Here she comes again. That “really stupid woman”.

    “Some stupid, some woman.”

Truth: Everytime she pops her head up she makes my day. I wish her all the best.

On Sarah’s recommendation I have just changed the sidebar video (very boring) to a presentation Newt Gingrich gave recently (29 minutes). Listen and learn.

I’ll leave it up for a day so everyone can pick up. It’s a dandy.

I’ve also added it to this entry because Newt needs exposure. I will note in passing that Mitt Romney strikes me as the US version of a recently departed Canadian PM (Paul Martin) — full of bullshit and WITHOUT the accomplishments of our much ballyhooed “juggernaut” of the time. That didn’t work out very well for Paul and I suspect much the same result if Romney gets the nod.

    Obama will bury him.

On the other hand, the US has Newt. His video is well worth a listen. He makes Romney look like a buffoon (which he is) although you would never know that if you follow the “LSM”. The US can do far better and they should.

My point: If Mitt Romney had one new original idea I would be “gob smacked”. He’s clearly a fine family man and upstanding citizen. So is Paul Martin. On the other hand we have Newt who has been through his personal wars over the years, married several times before he finally found someone he could settle down with. Not a problem in my mind — how many fine people do you know who have been through something similiar? I know many.

In point of fact his personal life is not at issue here (think Bill Clinton). His vision of the US future is and he’s correct.

In my view (and I’ve said it all along) Newt knows the system well and he is far from the picture the “LSM” is trying to portray. In point of fact he is the only one in the current GOP race who stands out and therefore the extreme silence or bad mouthing from knowledgeable pundits with their hidden agenda’s beating on him day in and day out.

It must end because Newt is the one man who can stop Obama. The only candidate who can.

    Tune in.

I like Newt – he won’t be nominated – but I still always listen when he is on TV – to me he makes sense.

Newt could not, and, should never run for bishop, however for the position that he is presently seeking, he is far and away the best choice.
The blue dogs however are typical Dems. They don’t elect leaders but rather they seek saviours so he may not be suitable to them, (Clinton?, Obama??) or to the independants that seem to be required to win.

Agreed. And for that reason the national “LSM” will do their very best to sideline him. If I were a US voter as the “grand sweep” approaches I would be closely watching him, as is Sarah.

Her political instincts are right on target.

The slobbering Obama media will do everything in their power to prevent Gingrich from getting the nomination. They are many things (few if any positive) but one thing they are not is stupid. You know, just envisioning a debate between Newt and Barry almost, (emphasis on almost) causes a thrill to run down my leg.
