I’ve been following this situation closely all day but I’m still waiting  for the dust to settle.  A twenty-four hour “pause” sounds about right.  I’ll have a lot more on it tomorrow.

    #4 I thought that the weapons techs in the CF would be qualified to dismantled these bombs and disposed of the individual bomblets. This is another prime case of lack of foresight and planning by government. If our forces ever need area denial weapons, what are they going to use? I thought the whole idea of mines and cluster bombs was it was a force multiplier in both defense and offense. Sure as shootin” if it comes down to it, we’ll learn the hard way that the other side kept theirs and we will be in a world of hurt. Far as I’m concerned, rules of war are silly and unenforceable, we see the rules broken all the time. Rant mode off. mid island mike
