Most of what is posted on this site are entries with links to news articles I pick up on. That is not a problem. However, once in awhile I get in the mood to rant and when that happens the following applies:
“The opinions expressed by me on this blog are my own, and should not be attributed to any other group, organization or individual with which I am affiliated. Neither do others’ comments to my posts represent my opinion. Furthermore, any links I provide to other websites are for information purposes only, and don’t imply any endorsement on my part. And if anything in this entire disclaimer is news to you, you need to give your head a shake and join the reality-based community.”
Borrowed from Babbling Brooks…with thanks.
In regards to the comments area…
I have an “auto-sniffer” installed . If you’re thinking about using this site to place ads for free – “fuggetaboutit” – the sniffer will seek you out and eliminate you on contact. Regarding legitimate comments – they are monitored and in most cases allowed. You will be obliterated if you use foul language, hateful words against any particular group or imply “sex” in your post. Otherwise dissenting opinion is allowed and even encouraged.
Final point - If you manage to get by me and I find out about it I will haunt you forever in ways you cannot possibly imagine.
Just as soon as the cops take the cuffs off me.
Update (August 4th, 2006): I just had a guy try to involve me in his personal problems with police. I wiped his comment immediately. I do not wish to be embroiled in someone else’s lawsuit. Similiar comments will be deleted on discovery and without hesitation.
“Poof — you’re gone!”
Update (April 3rd, 2008): As noted elsewhere in this entry, from time to time I find comments that are offensive. Surprisingly, they come in some cases from otherwise loyal readers. Today I ”poofed” another one after much thought about it. While I am loyal to those who support me my first concern is the integrity of this site and I request that people try to envision a new visitor who is here for the first visit and what they might think of an off color comment they run across.
Think before you write.
